Warzone players are upset about Season 2 Reloaded before the update goes live because of a change that limits the number of times you can use a loadout drop.

In Season 2, Raven Software pushed back the release of new content in favor of bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, and improvements to the anti-cheat. In Season 2 Reloaded, for example, there is a long list of minor fixes to improve the overall experience.

This includes reenabling Combat Records, balancing Weapon Trade Stations, adding a stamina bar, auto-grabbing lethal and tactical equipment items, and more. In addition, the devs finally revealed plans to fix the Mountaineer Perk, which has been broken since launch.

Players can also expect a much different meta as the Model L and C9 are getting nerfed. Players gave the nod of approval to most of these changes, but a controversial loadout decision raised some eyebrows.

Warzone players demand the ability to re-use loadout drops back

In Season 2 Reloaded, players can no longer loot the same loadout drop after respawning. This means that players will either return to their dropped weapons, purchase a new loadout drop, purchase their weapon from a Buy Station, or find a favorite supply box.

In defense of the change, Raven Software argued, “One exploit we’ve observed, particularly in Resurgence, involves a small percentage of players repeatedly using a Loadout Drop after death to duplicate their weapons.”

Instead of re-using loadout drops, the devs improved the skull icon so players can attempt to recapture their dropped weapons or use the Weapon Trade Station to get back into the fight.

Many disagreed that this was an issue and pushed back on that reasoning. CoD content creator ModernWarzone blamed the devs for no longer hosting calls so they could provide feedback before updates went live.

“Every single person I know would’ve told them this is a bad idea and would have nothing but backlash,” ModernWarzone said.

“This might be the worst mechanic update ever to exist on Resurgence,” fellow content creator Lucky Chamu added.

It remains to be seen if Raven Software plans to revert the change. For more, check out how to get the TMNT weapon in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
